Letter from Elise
BIAK is proud to announce the 2010 recipient of the Terrill Scholarship, Elise Lawton Mellor from Lake Placid, New York. Elise will pursue a career in physical therapy. When Elise was 10 she was in a skiing accident and sustained a significant brain injury. Since that time, Elise has worked diligently to regain her physical strength. She is back to skiing, running cross country and working in the hospital, getting ready for her physical therapy studies. "It's too hard" is not in her vocabulary, she is determined to finish whatever she begins.
