Brain Ball and Fire Lounge 2009
The 2009 Fire and Ice Brain Ball was a huge success and raised funds for the Wounded Warrior Program. The 7th Annual Mary Varga award was given to brain injury survivor Cyndi Masters of DBS Interative, and the Community Service Award was given posthumously to WHAS reporter Chuck Olmstead. Lt. Colonel Ferguson of the Kentucky National Guard made a moving and informative presentation which described daily life for the Kentucky soldiers serving in Iraq. After a rousing Live Auction led by Emcee Tim Laird, guests returned to the South Room which had transformed into the Fire Lounge, complete with flames and Fire-tini cocktails. DJ Joey Wagner of Prime Lounge kept the party going with a mix of party and Latin music.
